Writing for Children
Learn to enchant young readers with an Arvon Writing for Children course. Whether you want to create picture books for young children, work on fiction or poetry to inspire children of different ages or write engaging work for young adults, we have the course for you. Tutors and guests this year include Malorie Blackman, Melvin Burgess, Julia Golding, Bali Rai and Julia Donaldson, offering advice, encouragement and feedback on your work through daily workshops and individual tutorials. They will help you to develop your ideas, find new ones and give you the skills and techniques needed to write for young people.
Grants are available for those on low incomes and teachers of English in UK state schools are eligible for a teacher grant of £160. Visit our grants page for information on how to apply.
