Arvon Starting to Write courses encouarage new writers find their voice. Open to all, these courses are perfect if you’ve never considered yourself as a writer but have a story to tell, or just want to try out different kinds of writing to see what works for you. 

In our supportive environment you will develop your writing through daily workshops and individual tutorials with our experienced tutors. You can focus on poetry or develop that novel idea, or choose a course where you can experiment with all forms, from poems to fiction, non-fiction and drama. 

If you are on a low income or are unwaged, you may be eligible for a grant towards the course fee (potentially up to the entire course fee).  Click here to find out more about grants or call the centre hosting the course.
