Fine tuning
This course, for those with some song-writing experience, will explore aspects of the craft including structure, chord knowledge, lyrics and editing. You’ll meet and work with other songwriters, under the guidance of Boo and Chris, who will share their experiences of the writing process, the industry, and the inspiration behind the songs. An opportunity to create new material and further develop your song-writing.

Boo Hewerdine has been writing songs all his life. As well as making his own albums he has written successfully for or with Eddi Reader, kd Lang, Chris Difford and many others.
Chris Difford, co-founder and front-man of Squeeze, has won two Ivor Novello awards and has been writing songs for over twenty-five years, including classics “Tempted”, “Up the Junction”, and “Cool for Cats”. As well as writing with Elton John, Marti Pellow, Bryan Ferry and many others, he has released two solo albums, I Didn’t Get Where I Am… and The Last Temptation Of Chris, which was co produced and written with Boo Hewerdine. A new album The Full English will be released in the spring and a new Squeeze album and tour completes 2010. Chris teaches songwriting at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music.
Eddi Reader has topped the album and singles charts as lead singer of Fairground Attraction and then as a solo artist.
