This course will be a chance for beginners to put pen to paper and for those with some experience to experiment with different forms and genres. One challenge for the new writer is figuring out creative strengths and how to play to them. This course will be an opportunity to try new things and get the best from what you’ve got!

Kapka Kassabova is the author of the memoir Street Without a Name and two poetry collections. She is Royal Literary Fellow at Strathclyde University and contributes to the Guardian, Sunday Times and Vogue.
Edward Docx’s first novel, The Calligrapher, has been translated into eight languages. His second novel, Self Help, was long-listed for the 2007 Booker and won The Geoffrey Faber Prize.
Samir El-Youssef is a novelist and essayist. His novels are The Illusion of Return and A Treaty of Love.
