The next instalment
This course is all about writing for television series. Students are asked to come with an idea that they are developing. We’ll then extensively workshop, hoping to produce a pitch document, the first ten pages of episode one and a series overview. Time will be spent on character, plot, genre and the rollercoaster that is modern television commissioning.

Jack Thorne writes for stage, TV and film. His work includes episodes of Skins and Shameless and the forthcoming series We Were Faces (co-written with Shane Meadows) and Cast-offs. His film The Scouting Book for Boys is out this year.
Chloe Moss worked within Channel 4 Drama commissioning before script editing and assistant producing the first two series of Skins. She is currently working on E4’s new show Misfits as the online content producer.
Eleanor Greene has produced Party Animals, The Silence and Murder Prevention. She works at Company Pictures.
