How do you get started? How do you keep going? Our workshops and tutorials will look at character, dialogue, plot and structure within a fun and supportive atmosphere. We'll be able to talk about what you put in and what you leave out, and how you revise the whole thing when you've finished.

Richard Beard has written four novels and three books of non-fiction. His first non-fiction book, Muddied Oafs (Yellow Jersey), was shortlisted for the British Book Awards and his latest work is Becoming Drusilla: One Life, Two Friends, Three Genders (Harvill Secker 2008).
