Channelling your imagination

How can you make the first steps into writing popular television drama? We will discuss writing on existing shows, as well as the process of originating your own concepts. We will also focus on developing characters, crafting compelling guest stories and writing dialogue. We will look at hits and flops, and try to be as practical as possible about the current television climate.

Nicola Larder

Nicola Larder is a drama producer for Tiger Aspect. Having worked at World Productions, Hewland International and Wall to Wall, she has script edited and developed a range of prime time dramas. She now develops her own original series concepts. Mr Eleven, a prime time romcom for ITV, will be shown in autumn 2008.
