What Friends Are For
Arvon Friends are the amazing people who support Arvon in its work to extend exceptional creative writing experiences to everyone. This week is open to all Arvon Friends – new and longstanding. We will be critical friends, supportive friends, listening friends, private writing time friends and cooking together friends. This is what friendship is all about. Bring your novels, novels-in-progress, songs, poems and short stories – whatever you are writing – and relax with John Osborne's "best view in England". This course is priced specially just for Friends - £360. Anyone can join - so if you're not a Friend, join today!
Monday, 1st September 2008
End Date:
Saturday, 6th September 2008
There are no tutors for Arvon's special Writers Retreats. Instead, you will find a relaxing writing home, set in the beautiful landscapes around this historic house. This week is all about you and your writing - you set the rules! We won't interrupt but we're here to help and will set the cooks off at 4pm as usual. Sometimes writers on our retreats run readings in the evenings. You only have to take five days off work. You might finish that novel, those poems or that short play you've been working on.
