Ty Newydd

Ty Newydd is the National Writers' Centre for Wales, supported by the Arts Council of Wales and run by the Taliesin Trust Ltd, a registered charity. It operates in close collaboration with Arvon and offers residential writing courses in English and Welsh to people of all ages and at all levels of experience.

Ty Newydd was once the home of Lloyd George. Situated in North Wales, about twenty-five miles from Bangor, it stands in landscaped gardens with fine views over Cardigan Bay and towards the mountains of Meirionydd.

The centre had been closed for extensive repair and refurbishment and reopened in April 2006 with new facilities and disabled access.

Further information can be obtained from Ty Newydd on 01766 522811 or by email.
