The Trial of Ms Belle Epoch

P D James and Simon Brett – two of Arvon’s star writing tutors – have penned a wonderful new spoof mystery. Did the beautiful Ms Belle Epoch, co-heir to the family fortune, really murder her ageing aunt, Mrs Winifred Willoughby-Watchett, at Brantley Grange?

Join us for a diamond-bedazzled night of suspense and intrigue in the company of stars from stage and screen. Enjoy a delicious three-course dinner, make up your own mind with clues and suspect profiles, and watch the unscripted trial of Ms Belle Epoch unfold in the Great Hall of Lincoln’s Inn. Two of London’s leading barristers with top law firms at their side will quiz our star suspects, played by top actors, to get to the bottom of Aunt Willoughby-Watchett’s murder. At previous events, Arvon has been proud to work with a stellar cast including Alan Rickman, Jerry Hall, Juliet Stevenson, Saffron Burrows and Adrian Lester. Martin Shaw – TV’s Judge John Deed – is interested in playing the judge in the Trial of Ms Belle Epoch. Audience members will have the opportunity to bid for places on the jury and twelve lucky winners will sit in judgement and decide Ms Belle Epoch’s fate.
