Welcome to Arvon - The Foundation For Writing

Arvon provides residential creative writing courses at four beautiful, historic houses around the UK. Our courses – tutored by professional, published writers – are world famous for the inspiration they provide to writers at every stage of their writing lives.

Download our brochure or request one through the post.  2009 course details will be available in January.

Arvon Turns 40 was broadcast on Radio 4. You can listen again.

To receive the 2009 brochure early, you need to join Arvon Friends. The cheapest option is only £6 every three months (which works out at about the cost of a pencil a week). Join online! Or call 020 7931 7611 to pay by credit card. There's lots of other benefits too.

Peter Daniels has won the Classic FM First Prize in the 2008 Arvon International Poetry Competition. Read Peter's poem, Shoreditch Orchid. Find out more about all the winners.
