Arvon's unique grants system is part of our commitment to giving everyone the chance to write.
You are encouraged to apply for a grant if you cannot afford the full course fee. Grants are awarded on the basis of need and not writing ability. Grant numbers are limited and are offered on a first come first served basis. In total we offer grants to around a quarter of students each year. The maximum grant which you may apply for is £360.
We can only offer one grant per person in any given year and priority is given to those who have not received a grant before.
You must clearly demonstrate your financial need and explain the benefits you hope to obtain from your participation on the course.
To help us support as many people as possible, please only apply if you would be unable to attend the course without a grant, and only ask for the amount you need. It is a requirement of the grant that a written report is completed after the course telling us the benefits you gained and what the course meant to you. This is essential to ensure the future of our grants scheme.
Grants are only available to UK residents. Please read the Terms and Conditions.
