Shropshire Spark
By Andrew Muir
So often we find ourselves with no time to breathe, drowning under the weight of simply having to survive. Occasionally though, there will be times when all of this weight is lifted and for a short period of time we are allowed to dream. With no signals and no delays, you are cast suddenly into a world that wants to look after you. A world that feeds you, that waters you and respects you. A world that feels so perfect you could die. Take advantage of the wonderful house and all its ground. Breathe in the air that for most of us is alien, and allow that air to fill your lungs. Allow the spirit of all those who have wondered in the studio by the lake, and everyone who has curled up on a sofa in the “Hughsie”, to push you further than you’ve ever dared. Walk up and sit by the lake, and watch as nature unfolds before your very eyes. And then at night, when the rest of the world is sleeping, uncork your bottle and let discussion pour out of you like the red you’re consuming. Stay up till you’ve exhausted your thoughts, and don’t be afraid of the following day - you are inspired now.
