   Sian Hughes, who won First Prize in the 2006 Arvon International Poetry Competition, has been picked to join the internationally regarded poetry publisher, Salt.

   Patricia Osses, a visual artist from Brazil, has been filling the John Osborne Arvon Centre with new sound.

3. Moniack Mhor Centre Director Wins Prestigious Prize
   

   Cynthia Rogerson, Centre Director at Moniack Mhor in Inverness, where 15 Arvon courses are held each year, has won the prestigious V.S.Pritchett short story prize for "A Dangerous Place".
