Chair of Trustees
The current Chair, Nigel Pantling, has completed his term of office and will step down in June 2014. The Board of Trustees would like to appoint his successor and is looking for someone who will take the charity forward in its development. Arvon has recently renovated its centre in Shropshire, is planning for its 50th anniversary in 2018 and is delivering an ambitious strategy to grow its reputation as an international centre of excellence for creative writing.
The new Chair will bring leadership, vision and strategic thinking together with a passionate commitment to the charity’s mission, an inclusive style of chairing and the ability to act as an ambassador and advocate for Arvon. S/he will have good business and financial experience, an understanding of and enthusiasm for the arts and/or education worlds and an appreciation of the importance of fundraising to the charity.
The role of Chair entails a time commitment of two days per month and it is a voluntary position.
