Booking a course

If you are interested in bringing a group to Arvon, please first contact Emma Feasey to discuss your requirements at emma.feasey@arvon.org or 0207 324 2562.

After you have made a booking, the National Office will issue a contract and request a deposit which should both be returned within four weeks. We cannot book writers to work with you until we receive these.

The Centre Director who will be programming and hosting your course will then contact you to discuss all the details of the writing genre you would like as the focus of the week, suggest appropriate writers to tutor on the course and answer any practical concerns you may have.

The centre will also ask you for details of specific dietary, access and other needs and help you arrange all the practical details for your visit.

Before you bring your group we strongly encourage you to check with teachers in other subject areas that they do not object to students’ absence for the course. Some students have been unable to attend in the past because teachers were concerned about the loss of in-school coursework/class time. These teachers hadn’t been given sufficient notice about the absence.

All practical matters relating to your visit should be discussed and arranged with the Centre Directors. Contracts and guidelines for the specific centre will be issued after you make your booking.
