Leaving a Legacy to Arvon to help future generations of writers

Young people like those from Barnsley on our Writing The Game course or the multilingual speakers from Lambeth on our Mother Tongues project, could continue to increase their confidence and literacy skills thanks to a legacy gift to Arvon. You could be responsible for helping young people gain higher grades in English as many of our beneficiaries do, and so improve their educational outlook, giving them a much brighter future.

And it’s not just young people that we help. Acclaimed writers, such as Pat Barker, Simon Armitage, Daljit Nagra, Jean Sprackland, Jo Shapcott, Andrew Miller, Alan Hollinghurst, Mavis Cheek, Lemn Sissay, Patrick Gale, Susan Elderkin and Maggie O’Farrell have all attended Arvon courses.

After you have bequeathed gifts to family and friends, if you were to leave Arvon a legacy, no matter what the size, it would be an amazing boost to our charitable work.

And if you do decide to leave Arvon a gift in your will, we’d be very grateful if you would let us know. That way, we can thank you and keep you up-to-date with our charitable work.

Inheritance Tax

Arvon has charitable status so gifts in wills are exempt from Inheritance Tax, and may thereby reduce the amount of tax to be paid. Please click here for further information.
